Malaysian Society for the Study of Obesity MASO was formed in 1994 under the name “Malaysian Society for the Study of Obesity”. In 1998, MASO changed its name to “Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity” to be in line with its international affiliate the International Association for the Study of Obesity and other bodies around the world.
